Derek J. Martin hikingDerek received his Master of Science in Geospatial Science from Missouri State University in 2005 following his Bachelor of Science in Biology/Ecology from Lake Superior State University in 2002.  Thesis research entitled Geospatial Analysis of Gravel Bar Deposition and Channel Migration Within the Ozark National Scenic Riverways was conducted between August 2003 and August 2005 and is currently being prepared for publication.  Derek has been involved with geospatial science research and application for many years, working for both the public and private sectors as a Research, GIS, and Field Technician.  Derek's research focus continues to be in the area of geospatial applications for river systems.
