Ozarks Environmental and Water Resources Institute (OEWRI), in partnership with the Missouri Association of Manufacturers (MAM), offers a summer internship program to help Missouri manufacturers reduce waste, conserve energy and save money.
Not sure if you can afford it? The costs are 50% covered by Missouri State University through an EPA grant program!

How the program works
Based on your needs and goals, we'll help you select an intern who best fits with your company. We give full support along the way and reimburse you 50% once the internship is complete.
- OEWRI works with the host company (you) to identify an achievable project and measurable results.
- OEWRI recruits university students and holds initial interviews to verify qualifications.
- The host company conducts final interviews to select the intern.
- Intern is employed by host company during the summer.
- The OEWRI team supports the intern during the summer and works with host company to identify expected outcomes.
- Intern works on-site at the company for 40 hours per week over 8-to-10 weeks.
- Host company is reimbursed 50% of internship cost, up to $6,100.
- The student presents a final report on the project results and measurable outcomes at the end of the internship.
