The Geospatial Sciences Laboratory contains state-of-the-art software and equipment which assist in the creation of a range of cartographic products and geospatial analyses such as:
- Thematic map production
- Database development
- Watershed assessments: Geology, soils, stream networks, riparian zones, land use, point and nonpoint pollutant sources, etc.
- Topographic surveys and mapping: stream channels, cross-sections, floodplains, terraces, etc.
- Historical image interpretation and classification (aerial photography and satellite imagery, digitization, etc.)
